Himachal over comes the railway hurdle as they are crowned champions after 3 years

The final day started with 2 mouth-watering ties.

The Defending champions of the last two editions were taking on Rajasthan, who had an excellent run to the semi-finals. They had some tough matches along the way but, were ready to give up a brave fight to the title favorites.

in the 2nd semi-final, Himachal was taking on the ever favorites Haryana, who was looking to make it to yet another final of the Senior championships.

Semi - Final - 1
But the first Semifinal was a one-sided game. Railways showed why they are a team far superior to the Rajasthan side. They were simply no match to the attacking threat from the railways who made it into yet another Finals.

Semi - Final - 2
The 2nd semi-final was a much tighter affair as was predicted by the Pundits. Haryana and Himachal went toe to toe against each other. Both teams were fearless from the get-go and were locking horns with full force. The game,s momentum swung both ways but the first half ended in a stalemate.

The 2nd half was a similar story and was getting difficult to predict but a late charge by Himachal saw them take the crucial lead which they held on to until the dying stage of the match to seal a repeat of the 67th Senior Women championship finals against railways.

Final

The two most deserving teams were rightly placed on the top of the pile and were ready to fight it out for the prestigious trophy.
Railways were looking to complete their hat-trick of titles with a win here. But Himachal was the last side that beat them into a final and was confident to stop their brigade once again.

The match started with some cautious approach as both teams were looking to avoid placing a foot wrong at the start. The match was a clash of the brains as well both captains leading their troops well. Himachal started pushing back Railways into their den which was a surprise for them, as they were superior to every opponent they faced so far.

Himachali ladies started talking the lead with Railways still jaded by the swift blow to their heads. The defending champions got their act together in the 2nd half as the momentum swung into their favor.

But, Himachal's experiences of closely contested games helped them out. They held on to the edge of their seats to clinch this thriller of a game.

The deserving "Champions" yet again after a gap of 2 years. This was the reward for the efforts put by the team from Himachal who added yet another trophy to their collection.
