PKL 10: Coaches geared up for Pro Kabaddi Playoffs, revealed masterplan

Season 10 of the Pro Kabaddi League is heating up as the top six teams gear up for the playoffs to be held from February 26 to March 1 in Hyderabad. The coaches from those teams have shared their thoughts on the season up to this point and their expectations for the vital suits in advance.

The young shine, experience matters

Dabang Delhi Head Coach K.C. Rambir Singh Khokhar expressed his happiness over the group's younger players who have pushed them into the playoffs. He highlighted Yogesh's prime form and Ashu's stunning performance as captain, which showcased the group's well-rounded attack and defence.

However, standing in their way in Eliminator 1 are Patna Pirates, led by coach Narender Redu, who emphasized the importance of mental electricity. He believes that mastering your opponent's approach and keeping your mind clear are essential elements to ensure victory, especially in high-pressure playoff playoffs.

Haryana Steelers coach Manpreet Singh echoed the sentiment and acknowledged the need for a warning despite their strong showing in the league phase. He emphasized that each match in the playoffs is a brand new mission and past performances carry less weight.

Looking Forward, Not Back

The Gujarat Giants, who will take on Haryana Steelers in Eliminator 2, have their eyes on their veteran skipper Fazel Atrachali as highlighted by Ram Mehar Singh. Atrachali's experience, which includes participation in 4 Asian Games, combined with the support of other raiders such as Parteek Dahiya, offers the team a solid foundation. However, Singh recognizes the need to improve his raiding strategy ahead of the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the reigning champions, Jaipur Pink Panthers, under Sanjeev Baliyan, are taking a measured method. He stresses the importance of focusing on the upcoming semi-finals before considering the championship title. He believes that putting pressure on players for the trophy can be harmful as the semi-final itself is of huge importance. However, he guarantees that the team will deliver absolute quality while protecting their name.

Bright future for young talents

Concluding the discussion, Puneri Paltan coach BC Ramesh praised junior defender Abinesh Nadarajan. Coach Ramesh believes that with continued will power, Abinesh has the ability to represent the national team in the future.
