PKL 10: Full Squad of Jaipur Pink Panthers for Pro Kabaddi League 2023
Pro Kabaddi League's 2nd most successful and reigning champions Jaipur Pink Panthers will step out in the 10th season with an intention to defend their title this season and emulate Patna Pirates by doing so.
The Abhishek Bachan owned team did the first job of player retention very well by keeping most of their core players who played a huge role in winning the Season 9 title last December.
Jaipur head coach Sanjeev Baliyan and his management retained 8 players and they are mostly in need of efficient and reliable backups.
They will also have the lowest purse when they sit at the Auction table on 9th & 10th September at Mumbai. Therefore, Jaipur must tread with caution. They cannot afford to buy overpriced players or spend more than required as they have most of their bases covered.
Main Raider Arjun Deshwal scored the most raid points: 296, their defensive line consisting of players like Ankush Rathee (1), Sunil Kumar (4) and Sahul Kumar (9) finished among Top 10 defenders last term.
They need to fill 10 players to make up their 18-man squad but before that let's take a look at the composition of their Player retention.
Elite Players: Out of the 8 players Jaipur Pink Panthers have retained 6 of them are included in the Elite players list and that makes it obvious for them to have a purse less than INR 90 Lakhs.
Sunil Kumar, Arjun Deshwal, V Ajith Kumar, Reza Mirbagheri, Bhavani Rajput and Sahul Kumar have all received the nod as Jaipur's key Elite players.
Retained Young players: They haven't kept any player in this list.
Existing young players: Jaipur Pink Panthers have shown plenty of trust on Abhishek KS, Ashish, Ankush Rathee and Devank. All of the names except Ankush will have a point to prove in Season 10 as they showed a lot of potential last year.
And if we talk about Ankush Rathee, then he was nothing short of exceptional last year. He scored the Most tackle points (89) and the most High 5's (9).
