The quarterfinal matches of the 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championships concluded on the 5th of March at the Poornima University, Jaipur. Defending champions Indian Railways and runner-ups Services made it to the final four of the tournament and we could very well be seeing a repeat of last year's final encounter between the two. Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are the other two teams who sealed their places in the semis. The semifinal encounters will be played on the 06th of March at Jaipur's Poornima University from 8 AM.

Indian Railway men's team tackling Pardeep Narwal

The first semifinal will be played between the Indian Railways and the Rajasthan teams. Both the teams have remained unbeaten in the tournament and one of them will be facing a loss tomorrow. While the Railways team has been dominating their opponents, Rajasthan looked a little shaky in the league matches. However, they managed to jump back during the knockouts when they defeated Kerala and Maharashtra.

Services will lock horns with Uttar Pradesh in the second semis match. While this might look like an easy encounter for the Services team, UP's raiding department of Abhishek Singh, Rohit Baliyan and skipper Rahul Chaudhary will be hard to stop.

In the women's section, the Indian Railways team defeated Goa to make a place in the semis. They are joined by Jharkhand, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The Railways women's team will be up against a surprise package of Jharkhand. In close knockout encounters, Jharkhand has been able to perform really well under pressure and snatch away a win. Heavyweight teams of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh will be playing the second semifinal of the women's section.
