Pro Kabaddi League 2023: Top 3 Raiders To Shine For Puneri Paltan in PKL 10

Season 9 runners-up Puneri Paltan made a very early statement during the Player auction for 10th edition which starts from December 2 onwards. They quickly got into action when the first player was presented in the auction.

Paltan bought Iranian All-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh for INR 2.35 Crores, making him the most expensive PKL player moments before star Raider Pawan Sehrawat was presented towards the end of Category A.

But how will Shadloui make Puneri Paltan even more lethal in PKL 10? If you think the same then our coverage here has got you covered. And in this article we are listing the Top 3 Raiders to watch out from Puneri Paltan in the upcoming PKL season.

1. Aslam Inamdar: Puneri Paltan's homegrown product from Ahmednagar, Aslam Inamdar will once again lead the attacking front for Paltan after playing a key role last term. His contribution was such that Puneri repaid their faith on the player by retaining him.

But Puneri will also be hoping that Aslam puts up an improved performance even better this year because his figures on his debut seaon were better than his second. One of the reasons behind it is that Aslam played 6 matches less than his debut season.

In 2021, Inamdar played 23 matches and scored a total of 189 points. It included 169 raid points with a success percentage of 38% with 10 Super 10s and 7 Super raids. And in 2022, Inamdar amassed 150 total points in 17 matches with a pretty decent raid point average of 8.12.

He collected 138 raid points with a bettered success rate of 44%. He also scored 4 Super 10s and also helped the team defensively by getting 12 tackle points. Inamdar's recent form has been pretty good, winning back to back Gold medals with the national side in the Asian Kabaddi Championship and the 19th Asian Games.

Head coach BC Ramesh knows that Aslam's peak years and best days are yet to come but the Season 7 winner with Bengal Warriors has the correct ingredient if he is to win his 2nd PKL title.

2. Akash Shinde: Another Maharashtra born raider Akash Shinde has made plenty of noise in the domestic Kabaddi scene with his exquisite Raiding ability. The quick feeted 24-year-old raider was Puneri Paltans highest scoring raider with 139 raid points , 1 more than Aslam Inamdar.

Shinde also had a Not out rate of 74.77% with 5 Super 10s and Super raids. After the conclusion of Season 9, Shinde with his Silver medal produced terrific performances in the Yuva Kabaddi Series which also earned him a national team call up.

He came in as a replacement for Mohit Goyat in the Indian team that won the Gold at Busan Asian Kabaddi Championship followed by another gold in Asian Games alongwith Aslam Inamdar. Their duo is capable of causing problems to opposition defenses.

3. Mohit Goyat: Concluding this list is Aslam Inamdar and Akash Shinde's India team mate Mohit Goyat. The 23-year-old has had a similar career graph like both of them. His debut season saw him score 120 raid points with an average of 7.06 including 4 Super 10s and Super raids.

He also helped India win the Gold Medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games earlier this month. As a youngster he is he still has a lot of time to improve as a player and help Puneri Paltan take one step forward in winning their maiden PKL title.

So these were the Top 3 raiders to watch out for in PKL season 10 from Puneri Paltan.
