Pro Kabaddi League 2023: Top 3 Raiders who can be fortune turners for Jaipur Pink Panthers in PKL 10

Jaipur Pink Panthers will look to emulate Patna Pirates in becoming the only teams to win the tournament as defending champions. The Pirates did so not once not twice but thrice in Season 3, 4 and 5.

Jaipur's triumph in Season 9 made them the 2nd most successful team in Pro Kabaddi League's history. And this season could see them add a 3rd PKL title in their cabinet.
Unlike all the other 11 teams, Jaipur decided to retain most of their core players and their main intention was to fill in effective back up players as they did not need to make any super star signing.

1. Arjun Deshwal: Since making his debut in 2018 with U Mumba, Arjun Deshwal has climbed the ladder of success with each passing year. In his first 2 seasons, he collected a total of 108 raid points.

However, his performances and form took a different turn as soon as he joined Jaipur Pink Panthers ahead of Season 8. Arjun ended up as the 2nd best raider with 267 raid points (22 matches) with Pawan Sehrawat finishing on top with 304 raid points.

And last season, Deshwal played 2 more matches and scored 296 raid points, single handedly taking care of Jaipur's offensive front. This year, the UP born Raider will be aiming to cross the 300-raid point mark.

2. V Ajith Kumar: Though Ajith Kumar finished outside of the Top 20 list of highest scoring raiders, the 25-year-old was actually Jaipur's 2nd best raider last year with a 100 raid points.

He was bought by the Pink Panthers for 66 Lakhs in Season 9 auction but he had a somewhat underwhelming season in contrary to his first 2 seasons with Tamil Thalaivas and U Mumba in 2019 & 2020 when he scored 121 and 159 raid points in 19 & 20 matches.

Last season he played 21 times for Jaipur but scored only 100 so he has a point to prove and Jaipur will be hoping that Ajith repays their faith in Season 10.

3. Rahul Chaudhari: The Showman after going unsold in PKL 10 auction was bought back once again by the Jaipur Pink Panthers towards the closing moments of the auction. Rahul Chaudhari was sold on his base price of INR 13 Lakhs from Category C and a lot could depend on his performance.

His form and rhythm last season looked below par, scoring 71 raid points in 21 matches. He played as a 3rd raider behind V Ajith Kumar and Arjun Deshwal and Jaipur kept their attacking trio in tact for Season 10.

The Veteran Raider is Pro Kabaddi League's 3rd highest scoring raider with 1039 raid points in 150 matches. And among his main objectives will be to cross the 100-raid point mark, something he hasn't touched in last 2 seasons.
